Like the entire Macintosh family, AppleTalk* is built-into the Macintosh SE/30. Connecting to networks is as simple as attaching a LocalTalk connector*.
Network users preserve their investment in network components when they connect the Macintosh SE/30. New networks can be designed around the Macintosh SE/30 and will fully support other members of the Macintosh family*.
Connectivity to other network types, such as Ethernet, Token Ring and 3270 Emulation allows users to have larger, faster networks. Some of these other networks may require that a controller card be installed in the 030 Direct Slot*.
